Streaming Path of Exile
I know I haven't been streaming Smite anymore as I do not play but I have been hooked on another game called Path of Exile. If there is enough interest in the stream I will redo the site to more of a PoE resource. Things like my build, gear, etc and helping out others. Nothing too major but previously I was planning on doing a lot of work for Smite but that game didn't pan out. Just wanted to let you guys know who still check out the site that I am still streaming, it is just Path of Exile now.
Done with Smite!
Sadly the last few patches has somewhat improved the game but the community is a cesspool of LoL rejects. Too bad because the game had potential. I'll leave the few videos I have up but they are somewhat outdated due to recent changes. You probably figured it out by the fact I had not posted a new video in forever but just for those who contacted me asking to que, I am no longer playing Smite and have no desire to return to the game. Feel free to subscribe though as I may do videos on other games in the future. Thanks for stopping by and good luck in your games! If you need me feel free to contact me and I will do what I can to help.
Not dead yet!
As some of you have pointed out via e-mails I have not been around much. Unfortunately real life has been super busy as of late and school has taken up most of my time. I have finals next week then a bit off so I can continue to work on things. I have decided though to reduce my time playing SMITE until they put region lock in. The last 7 games I played were all 300+ pings and I have not desire to even try. I enjoy the game but being unable to land skills because the person is not where it shows you on your screen is no fun. I will continue to play when the region lock goes into place so I will be keeping an eye out for that. For now I have started playing WoW again and am loving my enh shaman. I am currently looking for a guild to raid with that is more progression minded then the friendly guild I am in. When I find one I will be back to streaming that a few nights a week if anyone is interested. Just letting you all know I am not dead...yet!
Anubis tips and tricks 2 is now out!
The second installment of tips and tricks for the Smite god Anubis has just be released! In this video I go over hitting level 5, item abilities, when to tower dive, jungle ganking, and the jungle is your friend. Just like the last tips and tricks video it is recommended you see the Get To Know A God Anubis video first because I make references to combos etc which are talked about there. As always if you have any comments/suggestions please let me know what you think. So without further ado I give you the tips and tricks 2 for the Smite god Anubis!
I have had a few requests for more GW2 Necro information and I can say that is coming. It is hard to do at the moment due to the fact there are now over 100 documented Necromancer bugs (according to the Necrobugs thread on the official forums) so a lot is still up in the air as far as the class goes. I will put together a guide for the spec I used to clear all explorer mode dungeons soon. Also World of Warcraft MoP is just around the corner! While most of the information on the expansion have already been released it is still an exciting time for gaming! Still playing the hell out of Borderlands too as well (level 43 atm) and loving it. I have been streaming my play of BL2 on and off the last few days and will continue to do so, so you should stop by and say hello!
Smite Closed Beta Version 0.1.1069 Patch Notes!
General:
- RENT GODS: You may now “rent” an unowned god for a single match using Favor. To rent, choose the unowned god during the God Selection process and follow the prompts.
- PURCHASE IN MATCH LOBBY: Both skins and gods may now be purchased while in the God Selection process (Match Lobby).
- NEW GAMEMODE: The “Joust” Gamemode has been added. This game mode allows you to play against a friend in a 1v1 format, using a map similar to the one used in the Solo Practice Map. To play Joust, you must first create a party with the friend you want to play against, and then join the queue. First to kill the opposing minotaur wins! Normal XP and Favor are earned for one match a day playing this mode. There is no First Win of the Day bonus for this gamemode.
- ASSIST CHANGES:Significant changes have been made to how you earn assists inside the game. Under the new system:
- The killed player has an array of players that have “affected” the player within the last 10 seconds (non damaging spells like slows or stuns are included). Anyone that is in this array will receive an assist upon the killed players death
- Any players within 80 ft of the killed player that have not “affected” the killed player will receive an assist also. So gods like Ymir who only placed a wall to help with the kill will receive an assist.
- Any player within 80 ft but is dead will receive an assist if they have been dead < 10 seconds, else they are removed from an assister.
- XP and Gold earned from proximity kills stops after 10 seconds
- SPECTATOR IMPROVEMENTS: Major improvements have been made to the game’s Spectator mode. This feature is currently still usable only by GM’s or other persons that are Casting games. Watch the HirezStudios channel on Twitch.TV Monday through Friday for daily casted High Elo matches.
- FIRST BLOOD ACCOLADE: The first player to earn a player kill in the game gains the First Blood Accolade, which includes 100 gold.
- EXCLUSIVE SKIN FOR FACEBOOK FANS: The Red Demon Skin for Sun Wukong has been added. This skin will be available as a promotion to those players that have liked the game on Facebook. Visithttps://www.facebook.com/smitegame for more information. NOTE: If you are already a fan of SMITE on Facebook, there will be a button on the SMITE Facebook page to claim your code for the skin.
- NEW ITEMS: Four new items have been added. See below for additional information.
- SCOREBOARD ITEM FOG OF WAR: Your ability to see the items of enemy players on the scoreboard is now limited by the Fog of War rules inside the game (that is, you will only be able to see enemy items when the enemy player is viewable on the mini-map).

Borderlands 2 just hours away!

As some of you may know I was a HUGE Borderlands fan. I play that game so much when it came out and all of the DLC was a lot of fun. Borderlands 2 is a mere hours away and I cannot wait. As soon as the game launches (11 PM CST) I will be live streaming my progress with the character Zer0 (I think, that may change). If anyone is interested in grouping up let me know as I will be playing on the PC version of the game. This game has me more exited then GW2 for sure and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Hope to see you in game!
As you may have noticed I haven't been putting too much up in terms of Guild Wars 2. Sadly because I haven't been playing much as of recently. I have really done all there is to do sadly. Not that it is not a great game, because it is, but I have my 80 Necromancer, fully decked out in exotic gear, 70% world completion (could obviously work on this), 3 crafting skills maxed, all explorer mode dungeons cleared. Now I have had these things completed for almost a week now. Some of the explorer mode dungeons were a lot of fun but they were not terribly difficult and I didn't expect them to be too hard. I am not complaining about that at all, it was fun going through them. The PvP is alright. Nothing terribly great for my taste. The WvW (which was never a huge selling point for me) is just as I suspected, zerg v zerg and that is not my cup of tea. So what does that leave me to do the rest of the game? I have started leveling an Elementalist to 35 and a Warrior to 15 and I will continue to play pretty casually. I will get more into PvP but there are a lot of bugs with the Necromancer (as I am sure with all classes atm) so I will wait a bit before diving into that. I do have plans though to put together a guide on the spec I used to clear all explorer mode dungeons and what I have found for best DPS in PvE. It is a Minion Master Necromancer spec that I have found to be the most versatile and highest damage as I have tried about every spec in the book. Keep in mind with a lot of things broken obviously the "best" DPS spec is subject to change. I will get that posted soon.
As for Smite I have played a bit more as of late waiting for Borderlands 2. In the last few days I went back to playing Anubis again and should have enough footage for another Tips and Tricks video so that should be out soon. I was really planning on doing another god before Anubis again but the other day I snagged a REALLY good clip and figured it would help a lot of people out. I will spoil the fun a bit by letting you know it was a 1v4 (me vs 4 others) Quadra kill 10:30 into the game. It was quite impressive. The video will cover things like hitting level 5 (mana costs of combos), fake charging, when to tower dive, more in depth on ganking/using the jungle and abilities (items). I have all the footage I believe I will need for those topics so now it is all about cutting it up ad tossing it together. The last tips and tricks seems to have gone over fairly well with the few people who have seen it. I know the Smite community is not huge but it is growing.
Anyways that will be it for me for now but I will see you tonight (11 PM CST) when Borderlands 2 launches. I will be live streaming and talking/playing with anyone interested. Hope to see you then!
SMITE Closed Beta Version 0.1.1051.1 Patch Notes
Meet Thor!
- Warrior’s Madness (Passive): Thor gains 20 physical power for each enemy god within 30 feet of him. Stacks up to 3 times.
- Mjolnir’s Attunement: Thor throws Mjolnir forward, doing 50/80/110/140/170 (+30% of your physical power) physical damage to all enemies in its path outward and half that damage on its way back. Enemy gods hit by the throw take double damage if hit on the return as well. Cost – 70/75/80/85/90 mana. Cooldown – 14s.
- Tectonic Rift: Thor slams his hammer on the ground, causing a fissure to appear in front of him, instantly slowing enemies by 20/25/30/35/40% for 3s. One second after the slam, spikes erupt from the fissure causing blocking movement for 4s. Cost – 75 mana. Cooldown – 17/16/15/14/13s.
- Berserker Barrage: Thor spins his hammer around him, doing 20/35/50/65/80 (+25% of your physical power) physical damage every .4s for 2s. Thor is immune to knockup and slows for the duration. Cost – 70/75/80/85/90 mana. Cooldown – 13s.
- Anvil of Dawn: After a short buildup, Thor leaps into the air. While in the air, Thor can target a great distance away to come crashing down in the area, dealing 150/200/250/300/350 (+120% of your physical power) physical damage and stunning all enemies in the radius for 1s. Cost – 80/90/100/110/120 mana. Cooldown – 90s.
- Skins: Thor has two initial skins: Heavy Metal and Righteous Hammer.
General:
- At least one Phoenix must be down in order to attack the minotaur. If the minotaur is in combat and a phoenix is respawned then he can still be killed, however as soon as he is back to idle, he is immune until at least one phoenix is killed again.
- LFG channel is no longer subscribed to by default. You must now type /lfg in the System channel to subscribe. (NOTE: Once you join the channel, there is still a bug in which the channel does not close properly until you leave the game. This should be fixed in the next patch).
- If a player disconnects while in combat, the god he was playing will now attempt to find a safe place and initiate a recall (closes an exploit in which some players would avoid a kill by disconnecting).
- Initial surrender votes in ranked modes are now properly set to 15 minutes.
- The range for placing wards has been increased.
- Several crash conditions have been fixed.
- Several improvements to the in-game web browser. Expect additional improvements in future patches.

- Effects that were on gods when they jump now continue to effect them during jumps and dashes now. For example, Zeus’ Detonate or Cupid’s Heart Bomb will now affect players that are in the air.
- Inviting another player to your team while you are queued now properly leaves the queue.
- The “Videos” menu option has been renamed to “Guides” and now includes some websites as well as videos.
UI:
- There have been changes to how the “GODS” menu works in the game lobby. Further changes are expected in future patches. Among the changes, you can now rotate the god’s 3D scene by dragging the mouse with left-click depressed.
- Unlocking gods and skins is now done through the Gods menu and has been removed from the store.
Jungle
- When you are out of LOS of an enemy, your sounds will be significantly lower. If you are out of LOS and a further distance away, your sounds will be muted.
- Buff camp locations have changed.

GW2 Syndrome!
First and foremost I apologize for not getting any new Smite videos done but as you probably know GW2 is out and I can't seem to stop playing it. I had a hard time trying to figure out if I wanted to play the Necro first or not. So at the moment I have a 50 Necro, 35 Elementalist, and a 15 Warrior. I think my first 80 will be the Necro but that could easily change...hell maybe to a profession I have not even played yet! That pretty much sums up how I feel about GW2 at the moment. I have having a blast playing it. I haven't even had a chance to do PvP outside a few hours in WvW.
I will start working on a few Get to Know a God videos for Smite in the next few days. They will be more basic then the Tips and Tricks but will give people a good intro. I very much appreciate the likes on YouTube for the Anubis Tips and Tricks. It seems to have gone over well for the few who have seen it and that means that there was some decent information in there. I will continue to learn more about the gods and pass that information out.
On a side note it looks like Torchlight 2 is coming out on September 20th! That is right around the corner and while I would usually jump at the chance to pre-order and play on launch with Smite and GW2 I really do not think I would have the time to play. If you haven't played Torchlight 1 yet I recommend checking it out as it was pretty fun and I am sure number 2 will be even better.
Guilld Wars 2 Launch!
Well it is official. Today is the launch day (head start was obviously 25th) for arguably the most anticipated game of the year. According to massively.com Guild Wars 2 had already hit 400,000 concurrent users BEFORE launch. It also looks like over 1 million copies of the game were pre-sold so expect that number to jump with the game launch today. That is a pretty impressive number.
While some people have had problems and trouble logging in I have been problem free. My only real problem is the fact I am not sure I can pick a profession and stick with it. First I tried necromancer. On paper this guy sounds like fun in PvP doing things like swapping boons for conditions and such but leveling has been "meh". I got to level 25 and decided to give another profession a try and I went with elementalist. I think I will enjoy the more variety of spells being able to call upon 4 different types of magic to conjure and fling your way. I have even debated trying more of the professions but I will get to those in due time. For now I will probably stick with the elementalist and make that push for 80.
I still play a round of Smite or two here and there but I am still pretty disappointed with the ranked not being region locked. I still have only done the 1 ranked game and had a ping of 350, which is unplayable to say the least. I have not decided on my next god for videos yet so if you have any ideas let me know!
Smite ranked games back up but don’t bother!
Edit: I know it sucks but the stream will be offline for probably 24-48 hours while I tweak my machine for maximum performance.
I tried my first ranked game today only to find out they are not even region locked. First and only ranked game I will ever bother playing until they region lock it as 375 ping (especially as anubis) will never do decent. So while the are up I caution people as without region locked you may lose already before the game starts depending on who is hosting the game. Basically out of the 6 games I played today (5 being non ranked) only 1 game had a ping under 100. Everything else was 250+ and really not playable at all. With GW2 coming out and HiRez not addressing the region lock anytime soon as far as I can tell I will be spending my free time on GW2 over Smite. It's great you have to aim your skills in Smite but when you have to aim so bad you hit due to ping its not worth it.
Just a mere hours away from the launch of Guild Wars 2 and I cannot wait to get going on my Necromancer. Server Fort Aspenwood. If you see me in game feel free to say hey!
